The captaincy of the Shadow Comet has been handed down from one generation to the next, with every captain recording the details of cruises, prizes and battles in the Log.

Tales From the Log goes beyond the Jupiter Pirates books to explore the Hashoone family's other adventures-not just in Tycho's time, but in earlier days as well.

Start your exploration of the Log with the first tale, "The Trouble With Crimps," a story set between Hunt for the Hydra and Curse of the Iris. While visiting the asteroid Pallas, the Hashoones run afoul of crimps - thugs who use trickery and physical force to fill out starship crews - and strike an unlikely bargain to turn the tables on the crimps and capture a valuable prize.

"The Trouble With Crimps" is available here in PDF format. Future Tales from the Log will first appear as exclusives for members of The Crew mailing list. If you're not already a member, sign up today. Then watch this page for new Tales from the Log!
